My husband has to go to Indianapolis every now and then for continuing education classes for his job, and lucky for Eden and myself, we got to tag along this last trip. The boys stayed home with their Grandpa and Mimi, which they love thankfully, I am not ready to attempt three kids in one hotel room quite yet! My best friend Michele lives in Indy so it is always a must that I stop and spend time with her while I am in town. This trip included dinner with Michele and her husband, people watching at the city circle on a perfect evening, watching an exciting Pacers playoff game at an Irish pub downtown (they won!), breakfast at Cafe Patachou with Ryan’s mom (who so graciously babysat for Eden Friday evening!), a stroll around the Lilly Estate at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and we picked up sushi for the ride home from our favorite sushi restaurant, Sakura. We packed a lot in one day…and it was the weekend of the Indy 500 so their was so much energy all around the city! One of the best things about the little trip for me was discovering the greenhouse at the IMA. So many amazing plants all in one place!
A couple of weeks ago I bought an Instax 210, such a fun little camera! I left my big camera at home and indulged in the instant gratification that comes from instant film cameras…it is definitely a keeper!
And of course I had my iPhone along for the trip!
Until we meet again Indy!
